1. Define what “merge” needs to preserve

Write down the two games and the feature you need from each. Do you want a character in another game’s world, a different movement system, or two sets of mechanics in a new prototype? This is a decision guide, not an installation tutorial for an arbitrary pair. The result you want determines which project documentation to look for and which demonstrations are relevant.

2. Find the project behind the video

Follow the creator’s link to an official project page or repository. Look for a playable release and installation instructions for the combination shown. A demonstration alone does not tell you which files are available or whether you can reproduce it. Search using both game names and the project name, rather than assuming a tool described as an AI game merger accepts any two games.

3. Check the exact supported setup

Before following the tutorial, identify the required games, editions, versions, operating system, mod loader and dependencies in the project’s documentation. Compare them with your own setup. If the instructions omit a requirement, treat it as unresolved instead of guessing. Owning both titles does not establish that a particular mashup supports your installed versions. Check the documentation again when the game or mod has been updated since the video.

4. Separate playing a mashup from creating one

Installing an existing crossover and building a new combination are different tasks. For example, Melty’s official site describes a launcher for playing mashups and a separate creation workflow using instructions given to a coding agent. We reviewed those public descriptions on October 18, 2026, without installing the software. They do not establish that any particular combination you imagine will work. Start with the project’s own instructions for the task you intend to do.

5. Read the installation and removal instructions

Identify what the project asks you to install, which game files it changes, how to remove it and what it says about existing saves. For multiplayer, check the supported mode and whether other players need the same setup. Use the project’s documented process. This page does not supply commercial game files, mod installers or instructions for a specific game pair; those details belong with the project that actually implements the crossover.

6. Understand what an “AI merge games GitHub” result contains

A repository can contain source code, a development experiment, a mod loader or a ready-to-install release. Read its README and release notes to establish which one you found. Look for the supported games and a complete path from installation to launching the mashup. If there is only a video or unfinished source, you have not yet found a documented playable release for your setup.

7. Choose an original prototype if you only need the idea

If you can let go of the original game worlds and files, a small browser prototype offers a different creative exercise. Our generator combines gameplay ideas into new Canvas 2D code and original geometric artwork. It cannot turn a mod request into a working commercial-game crossover. Compare the two routes in the related guide, or play the free examples to see whether an original mini-game would satisfy your idea before signing up.
